ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issues concerning the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) in the U.S. State officials are alarmed about the expansion plans and future of existing initiatives which serve as dueling visions of healthcare reforms. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) states that it will approve the expansion if states will prove that more than 2 percent of children have been crowded out in the private insurance market.
