ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the financial performance of the chemical industry in Asia. The spot prices of phenol is stable in the continent at $1,600-1,660/tonne. Northeast Asian cargoes have mainly been sold within this range, representing a rollover from June 2007. It is observed that prices for Degussa AG's Aerosil fumed silica grades and Aerodisp dispersions are rising by 3-8%, depending on the grade and location.
