ABSTRACT
The article reports that Cognis Corp. carved out its process chemicals unit on July 1, 2007, as planned, and renamed it Pulcra Chemicals GmbH. The unit, which makes products for the manmade fibres, textile and leather industries, with bases in Europe, Asia and the U.S., is to be run on a more cost-effective basis. The aim is to develop and manufacture custom-tailored products at "competitive prices."
