ABSTRACT
The article reports on the launch of a co-marketing program between Ford Motor Co. and Yahoo! in January 2000. The personalized marketing and retention program allows owners of Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda vehicles to register at Yahoo! Autos or at Ford's Owner Connection Web site, which offers car-owner services. The service will be extended to owners of Ford's Jaguar and Volvo vehicles in late 2000. One of the goals of the partnership is to bring a lot more people to register online as Ford owners.
