ABSTRACT
The article reports that Comcast is conducting a trial of self-install kits among phone service buyers in the San Francisco Bay, California area. According to Comcast, the test is going well enough that the company is considering offering the option to phone buyers in other cities within the next six months. The author reveals that the consumer kit includes an enhanced digital cordless phone that has the ability to access Internet-based features.
