ABSTRACT
The article reports on DirecTV's expansion of its high-definition (HD) television lineup which will include the creation of a tier of HD-only channels. According to the author, the new tier will include services that exist only in HD and are not simulcasts of standard-definition networks. DirecTV reveals that it will start the HDTV rollout in September 2007.
