Summer Ends with Readers Turning Toward Nonfiction

The article reports that the readers are turning towards nonfiction as the 2007 summer season in the U.S. closes. It was found that, form the fiction's lead of 15 to 10 in June and 16 to 9 in July. It was reduced to a virtual draw in August. In line with this it was said that the top 10 titles were evenly split between fiction and nonfiction. Moreover, it was also stated that the seventh Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows captured No. 1 of the rankings. It was not included in the Top 50.
