ABSTRACT
The article reports on the support of several trade associations in the U.S. for the proposal to increase the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) by Representatives Baron Hill and Lee Terry. It states that the Hill-Terry CAFE alternative HR 2927 has become the strong bipartisan alternative to several fuel efficiency bills with over 100 co-sponsors. Benefits of HR 2927 to vehicle owners and dealers are mentioned.
