ABSTRACT
The article looks at the efforts of the food service officials at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah to purchase Energy Star rated equipment that will help conserve water and energy resources. In April 2008, they will be replacing the facility with a full new building for dining commons. There will be a kitchen, dining room and convenience store. In the Euro-kitchen, it will have a tandoori oven with high heat for quick cooking and all the refrigeration will be Energy Star.
