ABSTRACT
The article looks at the changes in the performance management system practiced at Kimberly-Clark. The company appointed a project team with representatives from each of its five regions. The team found four principles which are essential to performance management, which are clarity, alignment, accountability and differentiation. The firm decided to translate the Web-based performance management system into the different languages spoken by its employees.
