ABSTRACT
This article reports on the first graduate recruitment program that was launched by housing company Barratt Developments. Starting September 2007, the scheme will see 50 graduates go through a two-year scheme. It forms part of a wider talent management strategy put in place following the appointment of Jayne Mee, the firm's first human resources director since 1989. Barratt has pioneered the building of eco-villages and its environmental stance was a factor in the scheme's popularity.
