ABSTRACT
The article highlights the once-in-a-lifetime scuba-diving trip for U.S. soldiers and marines who were severely injured in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families. The scuba diving journey to Bonaire started at the No Barriers Festival in Lake Tahoe, California, and for others, at the Adaptive Water Sports Festival in Breezy Point, New York. This activity is part of the Disabled Sports USA (DS/USA) Project for injured servicemen and women to experience adaptive sports.
