ABSTRACT
The article reports on the opening of the new headquarters of Access Living, a cross-disability independent living center governed and staffed by a majority of people with disabilities, in Chicago, Illinois. The headquarters opened its door after the launch of an $18 million initiative. According to Marca Bristo, president of chief executive officer (CEO) of Access Living, the new headquarters will enable the center to build its services and activities for people with disabilities.
