ABSTRACT
The article reviews the new developments in orthopedic research as of September 2007. Some of the developments include studies about tendinopathy, therapies to improve tendon-to-bone healing therapies, the use of genetics and gene therapy to treat cartilage injury and abnormalities such as osteoarthritis as well as the clinical performance of highly crosslinked polyethylene in hip and knee replacements after several years of implantation.
