ABSTRACT
The article focuses on disputes over estates of deceased rappers. Because Tupac Shakur left no will at the time of his murder, his mother and Death Row Records founder Marion Knight became parties to a legal battle over the late rapper's unpublished songs. Heirs of Russell (Ol' Dirty Bastard) Jones are still disputing over his estate three years after he died of a drug overdose.
