ABSTRACT
The article reports on the sale of Leipzig German municipal utility Stadtwerke Leipzig (SWL). It says that five groups of bidders are already pursuing a 49.9% stake in SWL and have until the end of August 2007 to submit binding offers. Leipzig council will reveal the winner by November. The tender is expected to increase £300 to 400 million.
