ABSTRACT
This article details the life and times of Constantine, the Roman emperor who made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. It explains that Constantine was puritanical in matters of sexuality. He inaugurated the tradition of Caesaro-Papism, where the church functions as an arm of the state. It was Constantine who decided to relocated the seat of the Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople in the East.
