ABSTRACT
The article presents statistics on the retirement of the aging workforce in the U.S. including the percentage of businesses that have failed to plan for the effects of the aging American workforce, the percentage of employers that have adopted strategies to encourage late-career workers to stay past the traditional retirement age and the percentage of small businesses that have a phased retirement plan.
