ABSTRACT
The article reports that sales of Havertys Furniture got dipped by 8.3% in August 2007. Total sales for the month were $70.7 million in comparison to $77.1 million in August 2006. President Clarence Smith explained that in total the the sales decreased by 4.3% in comparison to 2006. He also mentioned that the Labor Day holiday gave a boost of 3% in sales at furniture stores.
