ABSTRACT
The article presents professional profile of Ivan Lerner, who is commodities editor of the journal. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Ivan Lerner learned to make his own gunpowder at the age of 10. Despite this interest in the practical side of chemistry, he and his teachers never saw eye to eye. A graduate of Pomona College, he joined the staff of Chemical Market Reporter in 1999 as specialties editor, and took over commodities in 2006.
