Petrochemical prices ease

The article reports that ICIS Petro Chemical index of global petrochemical prices for September 2007 fell by 0.4 percent to 273.69 from 274.87 in August 2007. It is also informed that an overall decline in energy prices halted the upward trend of four consecutive months of increase. The price of benzene has dropped by 5.9 percent over the year 2007 and the price of polyethylene has increased by 3.3 percent for the same period.
