ABSTRACT
The article examines the efficiency of carbon offsetting in calculating the environmental cost of business travel. It cites the move by several independent organizations and travel management firms in Great Britain to develop methods to allow travelers to calculate and offset their transport emissions. It states that discrepancies in the way carbon emissions are calculated makes it difficult to measure the environmental cost of business travel.
