The article focuses on a flexible learning program at Wirral Hospital National Health Trust which includes the lesson entitled, "Humor in the Workplace." According to learning and development manager Cathy Thompson, the lesson is therapeutic for depressed patients as well as for hospital staff. The learndirect Business program was also utilized by hospital staff to enhance their clinical skills and discuss issues such as leadership and conflict resolution.
