ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the seventh Professor J.W. McBain Memorial Lecture delivered by Professor Vinayak P. Dravid of Materials Science & Engineering Department. Dravid is also the director of Northwestern University Atomic and Nanoscale Characterization Experimental (NUANCE) Center. The lecture was delivered at National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) in Pune, India on July 23, 2007. Dravid highlighted the role of nanostructured colloids in regulating optical properties of many traditional structures.
