The article looks at the delegation of responsibility by financial planners. Suggestions for delegating and reasons we avoid it are given. When delegating, make sure to communicate the importance of the task and any training that may be necessary. Oftentimes, people do not delegate tasks because they believe it would be easier to do it themselves or fear the repercussions of errors that may arise from it. Different styles of leadership and their methods of delegation are discussed, including authoritarian and impoverished leadership.
