ABSTRACT
The article reports that Constantin Film AG has selected director Soenke Wortmann to direct the film adaptation of Donna Woolfolk Cross' medieval bestseller "Pope Joan." Wortmann is best known for the 2006 hit World Cup soccer documentary "Germany: A Summer Fairytale" and 2003's soccer drama "The Miracle of Bern." The selection follows when director Volker Schloendorff was terminated in July 2007.
