ABSTRACT
The article features psychotherapist Murray Bowen. He developed several therapeutic theories which include differentiation of self, emotional systems, and emotional cutoffs. According to Braulio Montalvo, one of the proponents of structural family therapy, Bowen is the intellectual beacon for people who are trying to understand the family. Based on the article, Bowen was the one who gave conceptual structure to family therapy.
