This article describes the packaging of Shellac's new album "Excellent Italian Greyhound." The album, designed by the band with layout by David Babbitt, is covered by hand-assembled, screen-printed obi that depicts drummer Todd Trainer's dog, Uffizi, leading an army into battle, like some sort of historical canine, as illustrator and printer Jay Ryan puts it. Ryan matched the lighter ink to the color of Uffizi's fur. The gatefold jacket features a Joel Larson photograph of the pooch surrounded by fruit.
