ABSTRACT
The article discusses factors that enterprise resource planning (ERP) buyers should consider when comparing one system over another. According to the author, a document management system should have a capacity to integrate electronic document management into an organization's ERP system. Some of the benefits of ERP systems for organizations include cost savings, more efficient procure-to-pay processes, improved cash flow, enhanced customer service, redeployment of staff, and secure document storage.
