The article reflects on a user-centered collaborative research and development program in information management. The section discusses and describes the collaborative research and development program between two academic units of the University of the Philippines System, the U.P. College of Medicine Medical Informatics Units and the U.P. Institute of Library and Information Science. It documents the attempt to examine the user-centered approach as applied to a research program in the Philippine setting.
