ABSTRACT
This article discusses a conversation with fiber artists from Poland and other European countries, Israel, and North America. All forms of fiber art were represented--from tapestry, to knitting, paper to stitchery, environmental sculpture to wall pieces. They were asked for their impressions of the climate for artists in their countries. German national Rolf Müller offered a specific point in time that shifted the course of his life. The conversation showed that textile artists in Poland are determined to maintain their world-class reputation.
