Palms and Pomegranates: Traditional Dress of Saudi Arabia

The article reports on "Palms and Pomegranates," an exhibition touring the U.S. and presenting 30 complete traditional costumes for men and women from the various regions in Saudi Arabia. The exhibit contains a collection of Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa bint Faisal and the daughter of the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz al Saud. The tour sponsored by the U.S. Committee for Saudi Arabian Cultural Heritage, began in November 1987 at the Harvard Semitic Museum and traveled to the Canton Art Institute. "Palms and Pomegranates" will be on display at the San Antonio Museum of Art in Texas until January 15, 1989.
