The article reports that several MV-22 Osprey transport plane from the U.S. Marine Corps landed at the HMS Illustrious carrier of the British Royal Navy. The landing, which is part of a joint task force exercise of the eastern coast of the U.S., gave the carrier's crew a chance to experience operations with the Osprey. As of August 2007, there are no plans for the aircraft to openly operate from British ships.
