The article reports on the letters sent by a coalition of U.S. textile and apparel supply chain to U.S. President George W. Bush and members of the U.S. Congress urging the immediate approval of the U.S./Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement and the U.S./Peru Trade Promotion Agreement. Kevin Burke, president and chief executive officer of the American Apparel & Footwear Association, emphasizes the importance of the trade agreements.
