The article reports on the performance of the home rental market in New York in the second quarter of 2007. In the end of June, the rental sector reported an increased in number of properties being rented, with 309 properties in the Long Beach area and 115 properties in Great Neck. Kathy Myers, a licensed sales associate of Century 21 Laffey Associates, noted that the increased in people looking for rent is partly influenced by the tightening of the mortgage industry.
