ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of Valjaonica Cijevi Sisak Co. by Commercial Metals International AG in the U.S. The Commercial Metals will pay $41 million for the facility, and invest an almost equal amount in capital expenditures. According to Hanns Zoeller, Sisak will be their based for growth in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. It is expected that the transaction will be closed within 60 days.
