ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the options for emergency medical service (EMS) agencies to facilitate billing given the strict compliance to state regulations and insurance requirements in the U.S. The first one is to contract for billing services that will insulate agencies from potential issues related to the costs and the billing process itself. Another one is providing EMS billing services internally with the use of a billing software package.
