The article focuses on the European Union (EU) civil protection exercise, EU Danex 2006, hosted by the Danish Emergency Management Agency in Denmark and Sweden. The exercise was focused on civil emergency responses to potential terror attacks. It was a full-scale exercise with a number of simulated terror incidents. The purpose of the exercise was to train and improve procedures for requesting, receiving and deploying international civil protection assistance in case of large-scale incidents.
