ABSTRACT
The article provides facts and figures related to the economic condition in Great Britain. The country's Consumer Price Index is 2.4%, while the Retail Prices Index is at 4.4%. The unemployment rate was 5.4% in the three months to May 2007, down 0.1 of a percentage point from the previous quarter but unchanged over the year. The average earnings excluding bonus payments increased by 3.5% in the year to May, down from 3.6% the previous month.
