ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the late Michael Brecker's recording of his last album "Pilgrimage." He recorded the album in August 2006 and it was mixed just days after his death. It features Brecker playing in a fantastic all-star jazz quintet featuring guitarist Metheny, bassist John Patitucci, drummer Jack DeJohnette and pianists Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau.
