Provident brands may be split for consumers and brokers

The article reports that brokers tipped Friends Provident to become the combined group's consumer protection brand and an intermediary arm of resolution-owned Scottish Provident in Great Britain. It notes that Friends brand was better recognized by consumers while Scottish Provident was better known to the intermediary market. According to Peter Chadborn, CBK principal, if the two businesses adopt a single brand, the choice shows market will the merged company focus on.
