ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the finalists of the Winemaker of the Year award constituted by the journal that recognizes Australian winemakers. The judges' notion that winemaking is for many a collaborative process has led to the nomination of the company Penfolds' red winemaking team comprising Peter Gago, Steve Lienert and Andrew Baldwin. Two other finalists, Tim Kirk and Steve Webber, have been nominated before. Andrew Thomas of the company McLaren Vale is also a contender.
