The article reports that Premier Mortgage Service (PMS) had secured the trademark PMS. The mortgage club aimed to block the use of the acronym by Paradigm Mortgage Services. According to PMS managing director John Malone, it took over 12 months to secure the trademark. The use of the brand PMS by competitors could have created confusion.
