The article reports on the possibility that BlueSquare will be the preferred partner of 888 to provide the casino gambling portal with the sports betting operation it has pursued ever since the shutdown of the U.S. market in 2006. According to a source, negotiations with a number of potential partners are still ongoing as of September 2007. It notes that the deal with BlueSquare, the online subsidiary of casino and bingo giant Rank Group, would probably call for Rank to provide software and back-office functions for an 888-branded site.
