ABSTRACT
The article reports on the reaction of Melco PBL, a joint venture between Australia-based Publishing & Broadcasting and Macau, China-based casino developer Melco, to the decision to restrict visitor visas from Guangdong province to Macau by announcing it will delay the acquisition of a third casino site in Macau by almost a year. It notes that the decision has stimulated concerns over the possible impact of Chinese politics on Macau. Also discussed are the operations and major plans of Melco PBL.
