ABSTRACT
The article reports that new XM-110 semi-automatic sniper system was given to the U.S. Army's Task Force Fury Soldiers in Afghanistan. One feature of the new rifle is that it has improved rate of fire. Users of older rifles such as the M-24 need to manually feed another round into the chamber after each shot. The automatic firing capabilities of the XM-10 tend to decrease lag time between shots.
