ABSTRACT
The article reports that state-owned electricity firm PT PLN signed contracts during April 2007 for the construction of five coal-fired power plants in Indonesia that will have a total output capacity of about 3,600 megawatts. The power projects are part of the government's fast-track program to boost electricity supply within three years up until the end of 2009.
