ABSTRACT
The article reports that the loss of Indian cotton textile exporters due to the strengthening of the rupee against the U.S. dollar is threatening the livelihood of workers and cotton farmers as mills are facing closure, according to the Cotton Textiles Promotion Council. The council is asking the government to reimburse transaction costs to help the cotton millers and workers.
