ABSTRACT
This section offers updates related to the music and arts industry. Communications Workers President Larry Cohen told Democratic congressional leaders that the government can pass a national healthcare bill and an Employee Free Choice Act to help workers. The sales of digital music albums in the U.S. grew by 60% in the first six months of 2007. The House Education and Labor Committee approved a bill restoring workers' rights to sue for pay discrimination and overturned a recent Supreme Court ruling in the Ledbetter versus Goodyear case.
