ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court concerning the abortion case of Gonzales v. Carhart. It is stated that the court reiterated its judicial decision that the State has the power to restrict abortions relevant to the pregnancy's outset in protecting the health of the woman and the fetus. The court decided that the federal Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act is not void for vagueness and does not compel an unjustified burden on a woman's right to abortion.
